Welcome to the 503rd Marine Strike Group. We are 'The Spartans' and like our historical counterparts of ancient Greece we as a unit strive toward excellence, both in the Star Trek universe and in our everyday lives, striving to help make our communities and the world a better place. In the 'Star Trek Universe', we are the military forces that fill the gap between Starfleet and the individual Planet's military and security forces.

In STARFLEET, we area mix of veterans and active duty military, as well as people who just prefer a "military flavor" to their star trek activities. Although we use different names for each rank with in the promotional system, and a different organizational structure that the 'naval' portion of STARFLEET marines are regular, dues paying members.

The Officer in Charge (OIC) of the 503rd Marine Strike Group also fills the post of second officer of the ship. They act as the liaison between the ship's commanding officer and the marines assigned under their care. They are supported in their duties by the Deputy Officer In Charge (DOIC) and the Sergeant Major of the Marines Strike Group. The OIC or their designate make sure that all necessary reports are filed in a timely manner, individual marines are recognized for their community service activities, their 'education' achievements and other activities.
